What's it all about?

If you are like Kath and me and you love reading stories for pleasure, and would like to discuss the books you read, then perhaps a Book Club is what you have been looking for.

This is an invitation to people in the Byron Shire and surrounding areas who would like to join fellow readers on a regular basis to broaden your experience with books.

Each book club evening we meet at a different host's place, where reading and discussing books mixes with socialising, eating and drinking, if that takes your fancy. It's all about developing your appreciation for reading in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment.

The host is responsible for putting on a light supper, including tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring wine if you would like.

The books to be read for the next 2 meetings are as follows:

Island by Aldous Huxley
The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas

Book Club will be held on the third Monday of each month.

Dates:

Monday April 15, 2013 - We are reading The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas
Monday May 20, 2013 - We are reading Island by Aldous Huxley

Venue:

First book club will be held at my home in Brunswick Heads and the second book club will also be held at Brunswick Heads at Kath's home.

The next 2 hosts, venues and books will be decided at the February 19 meeting.
